The aim of this training program is to provide candidates with the knowledge and understanding required to act responsibly when selling, supplying or promoting alcohol in relation to their responsibilities, workplace duties, the law, customer service, and duty of care and harm minimisation.

There are bars, hotels, pubs and clubs, retail liquor outlets, restaurants, functions, and events in WA employing full time and part time staff. It is required, by law, for people working in these venues (those involved in the sale, supply or promotion of alcohol) to have completed an approved Responsible Service of Alcohol training course. Candidates holding a Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor fully approved RSA Certificate will be eligible to apply for positions in these licensed venues.

This Responsible Service of Alcohol course is accredited under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), , and is approved by the as satisfying the Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor RSA training provisions.

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will receive a VETAB accredited “Responsible Service of Alcohol” Statement of Attainment (SITHFAB009A) and a WA Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor “Responsible Service of Alcohol” Certificate enabling candidates to apply for positions in licensed bars, hotels, pubs and clubs, retail liquor outlets, restaurants, functions, and events.

 

Duration and Hours.

• Around 4 hours

 

Entry requirements.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• A reasonable understanding of English (must be a natice speaker for self paced learning )

 

What to bring.

• Candidates must bring one form of original photo ID on the day of the course (passport, Australian Drivers License or Proof of Age Card.
• Writing materials
• Headphones (for self paced learning course)

 

Course Outcome.

Following your successful completion of the RSA course you will receive :

 

• A Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor RSA Certificate

The course is designed for those working in Perth and WA and is accredited with the WA Department of Racing, Gaming & Liquor However, the certificates are acceptable in most states of Australia.
